BW Furniture Digital Design Workshop in Singapore

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love digital printing.

I love digital printing because it allows you to directly translate art made by hand into patterned cloth. No mess, no fuss. You can draw and design onto paper using any art making methods and materials, and then digitize it for printing. Easy!! Anyone can do it!!

Last Saturday a delightful group of ten got crafty and created a series of black and white, and full colour motifs. Hosted by BW Furniture in their light and bright Club House in China Square Central, workshoppers played with overlaying motifs to create beautiful artwork for digital textiles.

After a scrummy lunch from The Lokal, we explored basic repeat patterns using square, rectangular and triangular basic units. Everyone had a different approach to art making, and the outcomes were varied in style, colour and composition. Not bad for a six hour workshop!!
